International students can apply for partially financed scholarships from Birkbeck University of London in 2024–2025. These grants are available for graduate and undergraduate programs. This scholarship has a maximum value of £4,000.

The following award sums are offered to recipients of Birkbeck International Scholarships:

  • £4000 (first year only; tuition only)
  • £2000 (first year only; tuition only)
  • £1500 (first year only; tuition only)
  • £1000 (first year only; tuition price only).

General terms and conditions: No full scholarship, such as a Chevening, may be awarded in conjunction with another scholarship. Once you are chosen for the scholarship, you have two weeks to finish paying the £2000 non-refundable deposit.

Qualifications:

To qualify for Birkbeck International Scholarships, candidate must fulfill all of the following requirements below:

  • English is the required language.
  • The following regions are eligible: the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa (Sub-Saharan), Asia (Central, South, East, and West Asia), and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
  • You have an unconditional offer to enroll in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught program at Birkbeck, beginning in the fall of 2023, as an international student who
  • pays the abroad tuition cost. To be eligible, you have to have been evaluated as an overseas fee-payer.
  • You typically dwell in a nation inside the pertinent region.
  • You pay for yourself.
  • You are categorized as a payer of tuition fees who is “international.”
  • A student may only receive one scholarship award, and it is typically not possible to combine this prize with another one.

Application form for those candidates who ordinarily residing in Asia/Central Asia

Applicants must be nationals of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan, or they must reside in one of these countries.

Application form for those candidates who ordinarily residing in East Asia/South East Asia

Applicants must reside in one of the following regions or be citizens: Japan, Hong Kong SAR, Laos, Macau SAR, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Myanmar, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong SAR,

Application form for those Candidates who ordinarily residing in the Middle East/North Africa

Applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries: Kuwait, Jordan, Iran, Lebanon, Libya, or Tunisia, or they must reside there. Qatar, Syria, Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.

Application form for those candidates who ordinarily residing in North America

Candidates must be a citizens or have residence in the United States or Canada.

Application form for those candidates who ordinarily residing in Latin America/the Caribbean

Candidates must be citizens of Latin America or the Caribbean, with the exception of Brazil, or be residents of one of those nations. If applicants are Brazilian citizens, they should be eligible for the Birkbeck Global Future Scholarship (see above).

Application form for those ordinarily residing in Sub-Saharan Africa

The Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Democratic Republic), Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa, Tanzania, The Gambia, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Gabon, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, and Seychelles are among the regions where candidates must reside.

(3) A statement supporting the applicant’s application, limited to 4,000 characters, will determine which candidates are selected for further consideration. Their statement should provide an explanation of why they are the most qualified candidate for the scholarship. The candidates need to have financial arrangements made for their remaining coursework.

(4) If you are selected to win this award, you will be notified by email. You have five to seven working days from the date of your award notice to finish paying the £2,000 non-refundable deposit.

(5) You must successfully register for the Autumn 2024 intake before September 19, 2024, in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
